Amit Pande
At HP R&D in Bangalore, Amit leads a multidisciplinary User Experience and Front-End Design Studio. He has over 10 years of experience, including leadership roles in experience design, product innovation, and marketing at HP, Yahoo!, Oracle, PeopleSoft, and Spire, a Talent Intelligence startup. Amit has been instrumental in organizing various innovation and UX events in India, including the NASSCOM Product Conclave 2011, several World Usability Days, and Doors of Perception. He holds an MS in Engineering with a focus on HCI and Decision Support from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

Roberto Ostinelli
Roberto is one of those multi-faceted personalities who is interested in finding the synergies between various fields. Musician, photographer, programmer, and MBA—class of 1997—Roberto became an auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers to learn about the deep accounting mechanisms that regulate companies. He then led the marketing team at the broadband ISP company chello Belgium, where he was responsible for the ideation and launch of advertising campaigns, market analysis, and product definition. As his interests moved toward the technical aspects of running an IT business, he became systems integrator for chello in France. Then in 2002, Roberto started his own software company, e-undertown, with the goal of providing integrated Internet systems for utility networks. Now at Kallideas, in Italy, Roberto is Director of the LAB Technologies Division, dealing with research, development, and the integration of the many technologies behind the creation of intelligent virtual assistants. He is exploring artificial intelligence, with particular attention on human-like emotional software models, building complex and scalable software architectures, and integrating existing state-of-the-art technologies such as semantic engines and voice software.

Ryan Bell
At EffectiveUI, Ryan leads development teams in creating custom applications that improve digital interactions and enhance engagement with a company and its brand. His teams build user experiences that delight both clients and their customers. He has more than eight years of experience in IT delivery and support. In addition to software development, Ryan has worked in information architecture, data visualization, and usability research. Uday M. Shankar
Uday specializes in the art of managing expectations through prototyping and experimentation. He leads a Design Prototyping and Front-End Engineering group at HP’s User Experience Studio, where he works closely with UX designers, architects, and developers to create end-to-end experiences across the Web, tablets, and mobile devices. In his previous roles at Yahoo!, Nokia, Extreme Networks, and Zafin Labs, Uday has used various user interface technologies, including Java, Adobe Flex, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Node.JS, Handlebars/Mustache, and EJS to build rich Internet applications for the Web and mobile devices. Uday is a visiting faculty member at the National Institute of Design, India’s leading design school.
