Tej has been working in UX and interaction design for over 15 years. Throughout her career, she has led cross-functional teams across cloud, analytics, developer tools, and large-scale search systems. Tej specializes in interaction design, AI-driven user experiences, and designing for high-stakes decision-making environments. Before joining Google, Tej built and scaled multiple products from concept to launch in Lean Startup settings and served as a design manager, mentoring teams and shaping product strategy. Her work has been featured in industry publications such as FastCompany, the Journal of the ACM, and has supported global efforts in trust, safety, and accessibility. She also writes about sustainable user experiences and the role UX designers play in reducing environmental impact through practical, system-level choices. Tej frequently mentors emerging designers, collaborates with schools and creative programs, and contributes to the broader design community.
